SCHAUMBURG, Illinois — Kyowa Hakko Chemical Americas Inc., will officially begin operations on April 1, 2011 according to a company spokesman.
The result of the sale of Kyowa Hakko Chemical to Japan Industrial Partners by its parent company, Kyowa Hakko Kirin, the new independent company will operate from corporate offices in Schaumburg, Illinois.
“We are very excited by this new opportunity,” stated Kyowa Hakko Chemical Americas’ president, Jiro Suezawa. “We have a long-standing tradition of quality and service excellence upon which to build and we fully expect to more than live up to our customers’ expectations.

Kyowa Hakko Chemical Americas’ broad line of products includes synthetic fatty acids, specialty diols, functional monomers and other high-performance chemicals based on proprietary synthesis technologies. Lubricants, adhesives, agricultural chemicals, coatings, cosmetics and toiletries are among the many industry categories in which the products perform key roles.
